Lately I’ve been experimenting more and more with sauces and different types of spices. I’ve always been more attracted to subtle foods and flavors, so venturing out into this unknown world of tastes is a big step for me. I’ve found that a new sauce or spice is a great way to pump up your vegetables. I love vegetables, but because I don’t have a big grocery budget, I often eat the same ones over and over again and , even though I like them, it can sometimes be boring.
The other day I made Mama Pea’s infamous Mmmm Sauce from her blog Peas and Thank You. I was nervous making it because I really wasn’t sure whether or not I’d like it. Usually when I go through recipes and decide which ones I’m going to make each week, I can automatically rule out ones that I know I’ll dislike. Normally I never would’ve tried this sauce because it’s not “my thing”, but I’ve been hearing about it for months so I finally gave in…. Blogger peer pressure!
I poured Mmmm sauce all over roasted broccoli florets for a tasty appetizer!
