I know, right? I can’t believe it’s already FEBRUARY!
After I did so well on my January Health Goals, I decided to make some new ones for February! I only did three goals for the month of January, so since it was such a success I decided I’d do a few more than that for February. I’ve never done this whole monthly goals thing, or even ever written down any type of resolution. I found that writing it down and talking about it a lot helped me really stick to what I wanted to accomplish. January was such a healthy, awesome month for me, so I can’t wait to kick ass in February too!
February Health Goals:
- Drink 128-oz. of water per day
- Take a magnesium supplement every day
- Take my Flovent inhaler once per day
- Don’t buy any Valentine’s Day candy
- Make two recipes from a cookbook I own
- Work out 4 times per week
Drink 128-oz. of water per day. I made the same goal in January, and I almost did it. I really want to work even harder this month to guzzle even more water.
Take a magnesium supplement every day. Recently I’ve been reading a lot about the benefits of taking a magnesium supplement. I want to try to take one this month and see how it makes me feel.
Take my Flovent inhaler once per day. Unfortunately, I’ve suffered from asthma ever since I got a really bad case of pneumonia in third grade. I used to take an emergency inhaler just when I needed it, but last year my doctor prescribed me with a Flovent inhaler that I’m supposed to take twice daily. I’m so bad at remembering to take it, but I really need to start getting better at it, especially since I’ve started to become much more active recently.
Don’t buy any Valentine’s Day candy. This one doesn’t really need that much of an explanation! I’m so bad at buying candy, especially around the holidays. I really need to cool it and try to resist as much as possible.
Make two recipes from a cookbook I own. I have all these great cookbooks, especially ones I got for Christmas this year that I really want to make recipes from. I have all the recipes tagged that I want to make, but I always forget about them with all the recipes from my Google Reader I have saved as well! I really want to make use of all my great cookbooks and make at least two recipes this month from books.
Work out 4 times per week. Last month I made the goal of working out three times per week and totally blew that out of the water! In January, I worked out an average of five times per week, if not more! Since I did so well on this goal in January, I’ve decided to bump my goal up for this month to challenge me even more. Even though I did so well in January, I didn’t want to make the goal for February five times per week because I didn’t want to stress myself out with a hard goal to reach. Four times a week is more than good enough for me.
