I don’t regret my choice to go vegetarian at all. It was an awesome 8 months. I was never a huge fan of meat, so I didn’t really crave it when meat was no longer “allowed”. It forced me to eat healthier foods and meals in general, because my meals almost always revolved around vegetables. Don’t forget to check out my Recipe Page for a whole bunch of awesome vegetarian recipes!
I also got to experience the valuable perspective of what life is like for those of you who are living full-time vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc. lifestyles. People can be so judgmental about what other people are doing to their own bodies. And most of those people haven’t done the research to back their opinions up. There are so many scientifically sound reasons why vegetarianism is actually better for you than a meat-eating diet, but there are still so many people who don’t know that, or (even worse) think vegetarianism is completely unhealthy.
I went into detail in this post about one particular time somebody rudely questioned me about my vegetarianism. And even though I’m not a vegetarian anymore, I still believe in all the things I said about animals in this post.
I think that I’ll probably go back to being a vegetarian again, someday when I don’t have to worry about my feet anymore.
