3 Foods I Could Never Live Without

by MirandaMowbray on July 4, 2012

Happy 4th of July!

Last night to celebrate, my mom, my cousin, and I went to watch the fireworks in town. They were awesome! I’m glad that even though our city is pretty much bankrupt, they still decided to put on the annual fireworks display. A lot of people came to watch and everybody had such an awesome time.

I’ve been counting calories using SparkPeople for almost a month now (yay!!) and I really like it. I’ve lost 11 pounds so far (another 2 down this week)!!

Just for fun, I thought I’d share with you some foods that I’ll NEVER give up, even when I’m eating healthy.

Breakfast Cereal

Sorry, but I’m obsessed. I love my Reese’s Puffs, Captain Crunch, and Cocoa Pebbles way too much to give them up! I know they’re absolutely filled with sugar, but I make myself feel better by reminding myself it’s pretty much the only thing with sugar I ever eat – and it’s not like I eat it every day.

I’ve been having cereal about 3 times a week since I started counting calories a month ago.

Annie’s Mac & Cheese

I love Annie’s Mac & Cheese. Like, love love love. I used it have it All. The. Time. (so bad, I know!), but now I’m still able to find ways to fit in into my diet every now and then as a dinner splurge (one box of Annie’s is 670 calories, while normally my dinners are around 400-500 calories).

I think I’ve had it twice in the past month.

 Wendy’s

Wendy’s is my favorite fast food. My mom used to bring me there when I was little, so it always reminds me of good memories when I go. And, also… hamburgers are delicious. I even cheated a few times during my days as a vegetarian for one of their Jr. Hamburger Deluxe’s (whoops!). Luckily, they only have 300 calories each!

But I always have to remember that calories are not the only things that matter – do I really want to be eating greasy food from god-knows-where? No, not really. But every now and then as a special treat is probably okay ;)

I’ve had this once in the past month.

Congratulations on the weightloss, Miranda! I, too, am a cereal lover. (Although, in my case, I believe the correct term is CEREAL MONSTER!) Cinnamon Toast Crunch and Honey Bunches of Oats are two of my favorites.
