Catching Up

by MirandaMowbray on September 22, 2012

Well hello there :) It’s been… a while. I’m glad that I wrote the post about how I am going to be taking some time off from blogging until I graduate in December because I was so not ready for the influx of work that was about to happen.

It’s absolutely insane how much homework I’ve been doing lately. It has been completely normal for me to be gone from home from 11am – 4:30pm at class and then be stuck doing homework until midnight. And then pass out. There was one time recently that I literally didn’t see my boyfriend Brent WHO I LIVE WITH for 48 hours because of our crazy schedules (granted, I saw him sleeping and he saw me sleeping… but that doesn’t really count, does it?).

I’ve just been exhausted for the past 2 1/2 weeks. I wanted to do a quick blog today, though, while (THANK GOD) I had some free time so I could catch up with everyone.

So what’s been going on that’s exciting??

First and foremost, I GOT THE NEW iPHONE 5. I’d totally Instagram a picture of myself loving on my new phone if that were even possible. You should follow me!! My username is “biting_life”. Yeah… can you believe somebody already took “bitinglife”?? What jerks! I guess that’s my punishment for waiting so goshdarn long to get one of these addiction-machines.

I also got new shoes! This is actually pretty exciting because I kind of can’t even remember the last time I bought new shoes that weren’t either sneakers or flip-flops. That’s sad, isn’t it? I think I need to be kicked out of being a girl. Clearly, I’m not allowed to watch Sex and the City anymore, at least.

I did manage Instagram a pic of these babies ;) I couldn’t resist.

(Wow, the iPhone takes HUGE pictures!! Holy crap, I totally didn’t think they’d be that big. Awesome! This is like 20% of the original. Or something. I’m, like, spectacularly bad at math, so that was just a guess.)

I’ve never had cowboy boots before! I’m pretty amped up about this. And those blue flats are exactly what I was hoping they’d be like. They’re going to go perfectly with my fall outfits!

Did you guys know that you can order from Payless.com and ship your order FOR FREE to your local Payless store? (This is totally not sponsored, I promise. I just love this idea.) I have to order all of my shoes online because I have magnificently huge feet and they never have pretty shoes in my size in the physical store – so this was perfect for me. I even tried them on right there at Payless before I took them home. And if I didn’t end up liking one of them, I could’ve returned it while I was there! Perfect. Unfortunately, I ended up loving both pairs ;)

Before I go, I need to do a quick update on the whole Heel Pad Syndrome thing. I finally had my appointment with the pain specialist, which went… interestingly. I guess the whole thing isn’t quite so wrapped up as I thought it was. He wants to investigate the side of the issue having to do with the nerve damage in my feet, which my orthopedic surgeon basically wrote off as being not important at my last appointment. Well it won’t hurt, right?

So I got sent for an MRI of my lower back in case there are nerves in there that are affecting my feet, and I also got put on some fibromyalgia medication. It’s supposed to lessen the nerve pain in my feet (even though I don’t have fibromyalgia), but it’s going to take a few weeks to kick in. We’ll see what happens! I have a follow-up appointment at the end of October and I’ll find out more then, I guess.

Thanks for reading even though I haven’t been around lately! I’ll be back with a vengeance in December, I promise :) P.S. Thanks to everybody who participated in the giveaway!!

glad you at least like school, sounds crazy though! love those boots. I am glad you checked in, I was thinking of you! All good reasons to be away from the blog world.

I’m so envious. I can’t get the 5 until november. :(

I love the shoes you bought. The little flats are the best shade of blue.

Good luck graduating!!! You can do it and it’ll be here before you know it.
