Phew! I spent a crazy amount of time doing homework this weekend. I had to read: (1) Twelfth Night — a Shakespeare play, (2) Book Two of Gulliver’s Travels, (3) The Defense of Poesy by Sir Phillip Sidney, and (4) ten pages in my Norton Introduction to Literature. On top of all that, I also had to write three literary essays (one page, three pages, and five pages).
I pretty much drove myself insane about it all and ended up giving myself a migraine, which of course didn’t help matters AT ALL. Luckily, I was able to get everything done and still manage to get a few hours of sleep before this morning… but I’m pretty exhausted. I don’t know how I’m going to survive this week!
Maybe if I just think about all the things I’m loving lately, it’ll be okay
GRAPEFRUITS! I totally forgot how much I love these things. Definitely going to finish this whole bag soon I just wish the prep was a little easier. Sometimes I cheat and cut it in half lengthwise and just eat the slices!
This Glad Freezerware is so cool. I honestly had to idea this stuff even existed. I’ve been struggling with the issue of freezing stuff and now my problems are solved! Now I can freeze my chicken in these instead of using plastic baggies. Hopefully I’ll have a bigger freezer soon and can actually fit some of these in the fridge. For now, I’m just going to sit them on my counter and stare longingly at them until that day comes
I found these spice shakers at Walmart and I’m pretty much obsessed. Now my spices all look so pretty!! I can’t wait until I can have a cute spice rack to display them all. I love that they have such vibrant colors and can almost be used as a decoration by themselves.
Brent was worried about these being exposed to the air. See how there are holes in the top? It doesn’t have an air-tight closure. What do you think… will they go bad?
I am SO. EXCITED. ABOUT. THIS. I know it just looks like a mat on my kitchen floor — but it’s so much more than that. Brent actually bought this for me as a Christmas gift, but he was so excited about it that he ended up giving it to me early! He’s such a wuss, haha! I’m actually really glad that he gave it to me early, because I love it and I’ve gotten so much use out of it already.
The mat is made out of this thick, cushiony, Tempurpedic-like material that I can use to stand on while I’m in the kitchen!! One of the worst parts about my foot condition is that cooking is my absolutely most favorite thing EVER, but I haven’t been able to do as much of it lately because it makes the pain a lot worse, especially when I’m standing on the hard
tile linoleum floor. Isn’t he the best???
