Top 10 Favorite Books of 2012

by MirandaMowbray on December 31, 2012

As I mentioned the other day, I’ve done a lot of reading this year. Fifty-seven (not-for-school) books! One of the biggest reasons I like to read is because it’s a means of escaping from the world for a little while. It’s therapeutic. If I’m stressed out about things going on in my life, opening up a book is like diving into somebody else’s world and mind.

Taking a little vacation away from my own problems is sometimes exactly what I need to help me recharge. I think that’s why I read so many books this year… I was stressed to the max!

Following the lead of a few other bloggers, here’s a list of my top 10 favorite books (not in any particular order) that I read this past year.

Looks like we have a similar taste in books. I read many of the same ones and loved them. Last Letter from your Lover and Divergent were probably two of my favorites.

So I thought I commented here, but apparently I just read the post. LOL. Yep – we really DO have the same taste in books! I almost bought The Age of Miracles a few weeks ago – definitely going to go back and get it. I have so many good books to read this year!

Did you read Unwind? (If you didn’t – I HIGHLY recommend it) I guess the sequel came out last year (Unwholly). That’s high on my list right now too!

I actually had never even heard of it… but I just looked it up on Goodreads and it sounds really good! I’m definitely going to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

“Gone Girl” is really, really good! I can’t wait to read more of her books.
