Shopping List Friday #16

by MirandaMowbray on February 15, 2013

Today’s post is coming a little bit late, just because I’ve been absolutely swamped preparing to move into the new house. Today was moving day!! Phew, I’m exhausted. And also cold… the heat should be working soon!

Because we were so busy this week, we decided to just get all our groceries at Stop & Shop, instead of going to a few different stores like normal. But we actually ended up getting some really good deals with coupons and were able to pretty much stay on budget.

#1: Stop & Shop — Produce

  • Baby carrots
  • Green bell peppers
  • Sweet potatoes
  • Apples
  • Bananas
  • Red grapes
  • Celery
  • Baby bella mushrooms
  • Cucumber

#2: Stop & Shop — Meat, Dairy, and Frozen Food

  • Chicken breast
  • Lean Cuisines
  • Perdue light breaded chicken tenders (we got these on an amazing deal and they’re so tasty, but also super healthy. These will definitely make it into the basket again.)
  • Frozen turkey meatballs (normally I use this freezable turkey meatballs recipe, but I felt like going the easy route this week.)
  • Frozen meat ravioli
  • Deli turkey breast
  • 1% milk
  • Fat-free half and half
  • Sargento shredded cheese
  •  Alexia sweet potato tater tots (AMAZING)
  • Ground turkey
  • Deli provolone

#3: Stop & Shop — Other

  • Special K cereal
  • Chex Mix
  • Chocolate chips
  • Valentine’s Day sugar cookies (these are my favorite, but I only allow myself to get them for special occasions like Valentine’s Day.)

Hahaha I don’t know if I would describe moving as “a blast,” but I am really excited about the fact that we’re all moved in now!

Alexia fries are pretty much the best thing ever, I agree. I only wish they weren’t so expensive or else I would buy them all the time! But maybe it’s a good thing they aren’t cheap, haha ;)
