#1: Stop & Shop

Stop & Shop Produce/Frozen 3/1/13

Produce, Frozen, & Dairy:

  • Ore Ida frozen sweet potato fries — $3/each
  • Friendly’s singe-serving ice cream cups – $1/each (there was an amazing deal on freezer items — buy $20, get $10 off your order!!)
  • Deli turkey breast (3/4lb) – 4.64
  • Deli provolone (1/2 lb) — 3.43
  • Deli pepperoni (1/2 lb) — 4.47
  • Cucumber — $0.66
  • Frozen stuffed clams (these are my favorite & perfect for a quick dinner) — $3.99
  • Perdue Simply Smart lightly breaded chicken breast tenders (these are so tasty and have really good stats) — $3.50 (I used a $1/1 coupon)
  • Green bell pepper — $1.19
  • Apple — $0.40
  • Coffee creamer — $3.00 (I used a $0.55/1 coupon, which doubled, making the final price $1.90)
  • Honey mustard dipping sauce — $5.39
  • Ground beef (to make this delicious recipe) –$3.01
  • Frozen peas — $1.00
  • Celery — $2.49
  • (un-pictured) Eggs –$2.59
  • (un-pictured) 1% milk – $3.59


Stop & Shop Other 3/1/13

Non-Perishables & Other:

  • Kleenex — $1/each (I used a $1/4 coupon, making the final price $0.75/each)
  • Hamburger buns – $3.49 (for Brent’s sandwiches)
  • Fiber One whole wheat bread — $2.50
  • Ritz toasted chips (for Brent’s snacks) — $2.50
  • Stop & Shop brand diet soda 2 liters — $0.77/each
  • Arm & Hammer detergent — $5.99/each + BOGO sale (I used a $1/2 coupon, making the final price $2.50/each)
  • Capri Sun Super V apple juice boxes — $3 (I wanted healthy options for a drink to bring to work. Both of these juice boxes have 1 serving of fruits and vegetables in them!)
  • Apple & Eve apple harvest juice boxes — $2.50 (I used a $0.55/1 coupon, which doubled, making the final price $1.40)
  • Stride gum — $1.00 (I used a $0.50/1 coupon, which doubled, making the final price free)

Total Saved by Using Coupons = $6.20

Total Saved by Buying Items on Sale = $38.04

Total Spent at Stop & Shop = $82.11

 

#2: CVS

CVS 3/1/13

  • Thermacare heat wrap — $3.49 + $3.49ECB
  • Poise feminine product — $3.99 + $1ECB (I used a $3/1 coupon)
  • Colgate Sensitive Pro-Relief toothpaste — $4.99 + $4ECB

 

Original Price (before coupons) = $14.35

Extra Bucks Used on this Purchase = $6.50

Total Spent at CVS = $4.45 + $8.49ECB

#3: Liquor Store

Liquor Store 3/1/13

  • Skinny Girl White Peach Margherita
  • Sutter Home Pink Moscato wine (delicious!!!)
  • Captain Morgan Original Spiced Rum (I bought this for a friend — I hate rum!)

  • Annie’s Mac & Cheese — $1.32/each (I used a $0.35/1 coupon)
  • ID gum — $1.00/each (I used a BOGO coupon & $1/2 coupon, making them free)
  • Envelopes — $1.24
  • Red pens (an editor always needs more of these!) — $1.47
  • Krazy glue (my car key cracked, so I had to get something to fix it) — $1.97
  • FiberOne protein bars (these looked really good and I was excited that they came out with some protein bars) — $2.50 (I used a $0.50/1 coupon)
  • Loofah — $2.00
  • File cabinet folders — $3.27
  • Low-fat pretzels — $1.98
  • Quaker high-fiber maple & brown sugar instant oatmeal (these are my favorite) — $2.50/each
  • Lever soap — $1.97 (I used a $1/1 coupon)
  • Extra forks and spoons — $2.44 (total)
  • (un-pictured) Bubble bath — $2.97
  • (un-pictured) Moisturizing bath beads — $2.27

Things for the Home:

  • Pourable storage containers for cereal/snacks — $3.47/each
  • Storage buckets for my basement stockpile (one each for teeth products, razors, and makeup) — $10.21 (total)
  • Tissues — $3.94
  • Skirt hangers — $5.94
  • Felt hangers (these work so well! Brent bought some for me forever ago, and I’ve been wanting to get a few more for a while now) — $2.87
  • Ironing board (I’ve had an iron forever, but not an ironing board. Not sure why this was, but obviously I needed to fix it) — 6.67

 

Total Coupon Savings = $4.85

Total Spent at Walmart = $89.42

Do you just eat the special k original as normal cereal? I find it’s so bland!

Haha, I know, I don’t know why I like it so much! I do add a tiny bit of sugar to it, though.

You’re such a saver, girl! Your Special K always brings me back to my phase in 8th grade where I ate it 5 times a day. I also did that with honey bunches of oats. Good stuff, I’m tellin ya!
