I started this blog in September 2010, right after I moved out of my parents’ house. Since then, I’ve become a healthy living enthusiast and I lost 40 pounds
! When I was diagnosed with a disability
in November 2010, I had a hard time maintaining that weight loss. As a result, I gained pretty much all of the weight back — but I’m looking forward to fully recovering and eventually reaching my goal of being at a healthy weight!
The main purpose of this blog is to promote healthy living, especially by posting everyday recipes for people living on a budget that anybody can easily make. Don’t forget to check out my Recipe page

I recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Rhode Island. Now I’m working as an editorial assistant at a publishing company, doing exactly what I love!
My passions are singing, photography, and – of course – cooking! I love to experiment with different flavors and create tasty, healthy, and new ways to eat food. I’m constantly reading and love getting others excited about books – I’m always posting reviews of the latest book I’m into.
My boyfriend Brent and I have been dating since November 2010. He reads my blog every day! He’s my rock — completely supporting me in everything I do. Both of us are working towards becoming healthier and losing weight together. I love having a partner in this journey!
